Construction is 68-percent complete at the site of the new Panama City-Bay County International Airport.
After driving 17 miles, or 27 minutes, from the current airport, motorists reach the guard shack at the new airport construction site. From there, it's another 2 miles to the terminal building. The guard shack is located 7.7 miles west of State 77. (TERRY BARNER | The News Herald)

After dump trucks dropped off concrete from an on-site concrete plant, a giant Phoenix Construction paving machine paves the 14 inch thick apron on the northern end of the terminal building.
